Okay, so I have been working a lot more lately since the weather broke, and am not the most careful person in the world but it *seems* like I bruise easier lately. A LOT easier. Right now I have 4 bruises on my left arm, 2 on my right arm, one on each hipbone, both knees and one on my left ankle :barnie Of course this last week we have built a horse barn and I have been digging post holes and setting posts all day, but I have like eleventy nine bruises that I am not sure how I did them :hu Thinkin maybe something going loopy in my system....figured I'd pick your brains since ya'll are so smart and stuff ;)

Oh...and I'm STARVING. Appetite is WAYY crazy. I have had 4 meals and 3 snacks today :hide Dunno if that would have anything to do with anything either :hu

I need to watch this thread. I bruise real easy. Always have. Right now my legs are covered in them. Every time I bump into any thing, theres a bruise...

I've never bruised easily...until lately it seems I have them everywhere  Maybe I'm just getting old and clumsy  It sure seems weird though that I have so many lately. I don't remember bumping myself hard on anything :hu Oh wait...maybe it's just getting old and my memory is going? :lau

I don't know where I heard it or even if it's true but I was always told to eat bananas. I was told that bruising easily meant you needed potassium.

:hu

One of the symptoms of vitamin c deficiency is easy bruising.

My sister bruised BAD and started taking vit C. Worked for her. She took vit C intermittently - just when more bruising showed up. I tried it once and it worked.

Both of us were eating poor diets at the time.

 Iron, potassium, and C...I eat plenty of meat, so iron should be good. I'm thinking either C or potassium then. I'll try bananas and OJ for breakfast for a week or so and see if it helps :D Thanks ya'll!!!

Not trying to hijack the thread, but this is interesting and slightly related. :D My husband used to wake up every night with severe leg cramps. I did some research and learned that it could be a potassium deficiency. He started eating a banana every single day.... no more leg cramps.

For me, it's B12 lol. I take B12 sublingual and I don't bruise as badly.
