I've been reminded, despite the aggravation of incubation "watch", that that is the easiest part. . Yeah, these birds are flappy, annoying & stinky. Youngsters!! They need a "mom" !! To learn to be a chicken. I'm not a good hen.

Well, 2 hens are setting eggs. Yeah, I tried taking eggs & breaking them up. Finally I just gave up The one with 2 eggs left should hatch pretty soon...didn't write date I finally gave up. The one on my back porch, I marked & left 5 eggs. Labor day weekend hatch. If chicks happen, at least hen raised. I just decided to let nature happen. The hens insisted!

Appears one with 2 eggs gave up...not setting regular. Probably 2 bad eggs now. Will remove if not hatch by this weekend. 2nd hen is dedicatedly setting 5 eggs!! Should be chicks this coming weekend..... There is another hen who lays an egg there ea day, so I have to remove it thanks! At least it's a different color so quick to find -- plus setter is used to my visit. She growls, accepts me & settles back down. Chicken fun!
