finally, after waiting (not so) patiently for 5 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day............. I GOT AN EGG!!!!!!! a beautiful green one from one of the EEs. that was yesterday. today, there was a brown one!!! from Madeline, the gimpy Wyandotte!

ok, first egg. i didn't even realize that my first egg was a green one laid on St. Patrick's Day!

the one on the bottom is a large store-bought. my first egg wasn't a bad size!

the second egg, from Madeline (pictured with the first one and the store-bought)

and, the beautiful yolk from the green one as i was about to EAT IT this morning!

went up to take water to the chickies this afternoon and there was ANOTHER EGG!!! another brown one, this one finally laid in the nest box. that's 3 in 2 days!
