Does anyone have any suggestions to use in addition to what ever the doc prescribes?
I believe the OP was actually asking for treatments in addition to what the doctor prescribed?

But there are certainly people with valid concerns who cannot or choose not to go to a doctor as well.

I'm not completely opposed to doctors. They are often the best source for a diagnosis (though I know of notable exceptions as well). But for me personally ... Well, let's just say that I've learned in this life that while you may hire a professional (doctor, lawyer, realtor, financial advisor, or ANYthing) that it is still wise to at least educate yourself on the situation and plan of action rather than trusting your life and future blindly into the hands of another. Call it a very costly lesson, in more than just financial terms.

:thumbsup

And as far as I can see, none of the suggestions given would cause problems with this girl being on antibiotics... which would be a safe assumption.

The PRID brand black salve worked. Hubby's boil is draining. Saved ourselves several hundred dollars by using the black salve. The PRID was $3.98.

1. I don't have insurance
2. I have been harmed by bad medical care more times than you can imagine.
3. Cancer is tied more to diet than sun exposure. There is nothing wrong with being brown as a nut unless you are eating a lot of sugars and processed foods. If so, the solution isn't stay out of the sun. The solution is to stop eating junk.
4. It often takes so long to get in to see a doctor now. So your choices are home treatment or the E.R.
Well, if you don't have insurance, eating right is probably the best thing you can do for yourself. However, a serious bacterial infection is another issue altogether. I hope you find something that works. And check out the People's Pharamcy web site.

My understanding is that the energetic photons from sunlight (UV part of the spectrum) cause single- and double-strand breaks in the DNA of the skin cells. You can actually observe this in the laboratory using the commet assay [1,2] or other tests. The cancers my physician mentioned are specific to skin,

I've never heard of a link between diet and skin cancer... let me know if I'm totally missing something.

If you don't like sunscreen, wear pants, long-sleve shirt, and a hat. That's how people dealt with sun exposure before Big Pharma.

Anway, I'm not here to argue. I'm just tossing pennies around.

We had a lot of clients come in for MRSA and we had them take a GOOD silver (Nature's Sunshine colloidal silver --- NOT just any old silver and NEVER a silver suspension), along with homeopathic sulfur tabs and a good burdock root. Colloidal silver can also be used to dress the site topically. We also had them keep treating for a few weeks after it clears up. If you stop too soon it can return.

Pretty much all of our clients swore by it, and we had a couple of nurses who somehow got it approved or at least got permission to suggest it as well.

I don't know for sure if Thieves would help or not ... Never tried it for that. But I know it's good stuff. I love the oils from that company, though I didn't afford many of them myself. :)
Well in the hospital they have silver containing products like silvasorb cream and silver solution laced bandages to treat open wounds because its a powerful antibacterial. Its even being used in hospital bed materials. We have come full circle lol.

In eastern Europe and Russia, they culture MRSA in a petri dish. Then they introduce pond or sewage water by streaks over the culture. When they find dead spots in the MRSA culture and active colonies of good bacteria, they culture the good bacteria. Then they spread those good guys onto the infected area. This is the cure for MRSA. It's labor intensive. It doesn't involve expensive drugs or multiple visits to the doctor; therefore, it's not profitable to do in a free market economy. Cure the patient and you kill the customer. I'm not pro socialism. I'm just anti snake oil salesmen.
Man that is brilliant!! Thanks for sharing that info! That can probably be used to treat most infectious diseases! Thank youu!!!

Well, I didn't want to say so at first (I try to keep smoothed feathers around me LOL, and besides it's a case of I heard it from someone, but ...)

When Natures Sunshine first came out with their Colloidal silver, it was backordered for months. You couldn't get it. When we asked why, we were told because it was being used by the medical community and they had standing orders to be filled which took months of production to meet.

I think they were suspicious of the sulfur and burdock, but the silver appeared to be embraced by some members of the medical community.

For what it's worth. :)
