Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal by Joel Salatin

now according to the new standard you are all extremist threats to national security for wanting to punch a bureau-bum. :hide also according to osama yo-mamma, im supposed to turn you into the local authorities, but since we share the same views, ill let it slide. :lau

:tongue

Yeah, man. Don't be useful.

I was whining on my journal the other day about the lack of SS opportunities in this state. Yes, we have redneck engineering, but as far as getting a CSA started, ha, no interest. Selling your extra produce? Where's your license? Raw milk? Whats that? Why would you eat raw honey? :barnie

People around here (myself included until a few years ago) have no clue and no desire to think about what is in their food, much less who is paying to keep it there. We do need change in the food industry. We need our bureaucrats to listen to us, but they won't unless there are a TON of us speaking calmly & rationally, over & over & over again, all saying the same message.

I would have thought that state controls would be more local-food friendly.
It varies from state to state. Colorado seems to be better on some things and worse on others based on the examples he gives in the book.

im supposed to turn you into the local authorities, but since we share the same views, ill let it slide.
I am sure I am already on the fishy list for publishing this...

(Just a quick aside, while it is easy to focus on Obama, I don't focus on the individuals, just the principles. If Obama was abducted by aliens tomorrow, some other figurehead would just take his place. It is the ideas that need close examination...not so much the people promoting it.)

 Lady Hen, that's an interesting choice title to take to jury duty!
:D I was reading it because I was interested, but I was also kind of hoping it would help convince the lawyers to dismiss me from the jury panel (it was a criminal case). It didn't help any, but by the time they finally got around to picking jurors they kicked me off anyway, which I was very happy about.
