Hot damn, Free! I haven't eaten any meat in over a week and you need to go and type that!

Why haven't you had meat, young man? Get to the grocery and buy a pound of something, anything! Or at least a cooked rotisserie chicken, which can last you for several meals!

I'd say buy some eggs, but no, cannot recommend that anymore....

Meat is expensive! Either that or fake. Ok wait, I think I did resort to a pepperoni hot pocket the other day, but I wouldn't call that meat. You know I'm not really much of a meat eater, a piece of elk, deer, or chicken once or twice a week or so, but with all the stress of moving and settling in I've definitely been having cravings so I've been taking more FCO and it's helped some.

My mom brought me eggs from the ladies and fresh raw milk from the other ladies, so I have been eating some good food, but it's still not the same. I did have a tuna sandwich tonight. I bought some bread that looked good, but not the best. It says on the package that it's HFCS free.. Is that an advertising gimmick or do a lot of brands really have HFCS in their breads?

Eggs and raw milk will do, but if you are craving meat, honor that. Can you find chicken for $0.69-99 per lb there? And cook it up and freeze most of it? Keep a bag in the freezer for the bones and make a broth when you are done with the chicken?

Lady H: I completely forgot! I just always see meat as the maoin item on these travel food shows. But mmm to paneer masala! Do you have any good suggestions for restaraunts? I live about 1.5-2 hrs north of you depending on where exaclt you live.

Hi, neighbor! I didn't realize you were so close. Here are some of our favorites:
Chadaka Thai in Burbank is great with good atmosphere.
Season Thai in Burbank is about a block away from Chadaka, much cheaper but with less atmosphere and no liquor license. Food is good though, and they have great, inexpensive lunch deals. This is one of the places where DH asks for white meat chicken.
Bollywood in Studio City is our favorite Indian food; not so great on atmosphere.
Electric Lotus in Los Feliz is also Indian and has a great atmosphere for a fun night out.
Marrakesh has good Moroccan food and a fun atmosphere (eat with your hands as they do in Morocco, belly dancer on the weekends, etc.)
The places with good atmosphere tend to cost more.

Most bread DOES contain HFCS. When I used to buy whole wheat bread it used to take me forever to find some without that garbage in it. The only kind I consistently find without it was Milton's...a Sara Lee product.
