This will be our second year to put out a fall garden in coastal central Texas. We had very good luck with cabbage and broccoli even with cold winter last year. What else will survive the frost? Our temps normally will stay above freezing.

My gardening book says some lettuces will survive cold weather, in fact, it says the seeds won't even germinate if it's too hot out, so you do a spring planting & fall planting. I'm in zone 7b.

Spinach and chard. It is also time to set garlic for next years crop, at the end of september anyway.
