FarmerJamie - A new beginning

rain and high wind here. :/ TIRED OF IT :barnie *sigh*

I know we got some freezing rain last night, so some of the streets were slick when I headed out this morning. Don't know what it's been doing this evening.

So far, so good. The county is under a travel emergency. It's still above freezing, but the wind is picking up. I AM staying home today... :)

Good idea. These winds are terrible!! Its in the 20's here but those winds will take your breath away!

Evidently, I earlier missed the extent of the ice we got last night. I went out to make the rounds this morning and noticed we had almost an inch of ice on the sidewalks and driveway.

I got the sidewalk cleaned up and made the mistake of stepping on the ice at the top of the driveway (paved). 60 ft later I was able to step onto the yard. The dog gave me a 6.5 on the technical part of my program, but I got a 9.6 on artistic interpretation.

It's now dropping ice pellets on us.... :somad

Sorry to hear you fell. Are you ok?

60ft is a long way.

I'm fine, thanks. Luckily, I stayed on my feet - I wasn't pretty, but I did it.

I was just laughing with my DW - we are officially "old". Instead of :weee and enjoying the downhill skiing, I'm thinking like I'm facing a motorcycle crash - how can I lay this thing down with the least amount of damage...

LOL! Glad you're all right! You ought to get yourself a good pair of ice skates. And the latest line Michelin Man coats. :P
