FarmerJamie - A new beginning

Apparently I've missed some happenings.

And Jamie, that roast looked delicious. Now I want pot roast!

It was delicious! I took pieces of pickled garlic and stuffed it down in the marbling after I browned it. I also made gravy for the very first time in my life without the assistance of any womenfolk!!!!

DS is anxious to learn to cook, so I'll teach him what I know! Unfortunately, (fortunately for my DW) I think some of the girls I dated early in my life were not sure what to think of a guy that could cook better than they could. :D

Yeah I agree. I found myself in a Twilight situation last year. I like the movie Cold Mountain.
I saw only part of that one.

I need to find a good book on Shiloh to read before the next three weeks is up. Most of my home library deals with the Eastern Theater in the War between the States.
How long are you staying down there?

Will you and Cindi be on SS to let me in on the happenings?
We can't leave you out little buddy!!! OF COURSE we'll post so we can share with ya what's going on ;) :hugs

Thank you very much CIndi!!!

Early Thursday am we had a earthquake centered about 30 miles east of us? 2.something, didn't feel it. Have felt quakes in the past.

Not worried, just thought it was interesting.

Is Ohio prone to earthquakes in the past? About two years ago I lived in an area NOT prone to them, historically, and we had a small one. Far as I know, it hasn't been repeated there, though there was talk of maybe a fault line nearby after all. It wasn't much made over it, but it sure surprised some folks.

We get small ones on and off, a couple of times per year. 20 years or so ago, I remember an Easter earthquake that I remember feeling the shaking - the adults thought the younger kids were jumping up and down in one of the back rooms. :D
