I know one in Kentucky that isn't. :D

It's made worse by other parents that want to be their kid's "best friend" instead of teaching them life lessons. :duc

made worse by offering an "out" on everything too when guidelines were clearly laid out ahead of time....*sigh* That is what I am dealing with :( I can't wait for her to get out!!!! :barnie

Sounds like you got quite a bit done recently, FJ! I am not how you managed it, with all the rain we've had....but congratulations on getting it done! :thumbsup

Some credit goes to the youngest two (DS and DD). They helped with everything, except the stroll around the Medina village square. :D

I told my son I was simply amazed about how much he was able to do stuff on his own. They, by themselves, were marking out rows when the storm rolled in. They also got most of the stuff put away just before the rain hit, as I was racing to complete something else. They also made almost the whole dinner ("get out of the kitchen, Dad!"). I hope they continue to help out at this level :P

THAT!!

I was just going on about that very thing. Kids don't need friends, they need parents. And if a parent is scared of angering his or her child, they had no right to go around having kids. harumph!

Your kids sound great :) You sound like you can balance being a parent quite well.

Thanks, Abi, I appreciate it. I'm so blessed I don't have to deal with many of the issues that folks share on this site. Then again, some folks say the Lord only gives us what we can handle, so maybe the cosmic expectations are low for me.

:gig That's the way to do it! Lower the expectations of the cosmos! Why didn't I think of that???

This board sure says a lot about the weather this spring..... ;)

Usually there aren't this many Ohioans on the board at one time...their're out doing yard stuff (animals, gardening, drinking tea or a beer or sipping bacon martinis)
