happy August. A year ago today was the car crash. So many things have changed for the better since then.

Building up the miles on the car between Ohio and Mississippi.

4 months since the last post, I could have sworn it was longer. LOL

The weekend before Thanksgiving, I lost my primary reason for remaining in the area. My awesome mom lost a quick and painful battle to liver cancer. My youngest two still live with their mom, but as high school teenagers, hanging with dad is one of the last things on their mind now.

Work at the new job (not so new, almost a year now) is going great. Also, a ring purchase is in my future in the coming weeks.

Still in the apartment, but this Ohio Buckeye may be moving to Dixie in the next year.

Sorry about your Mom, lost mine on Father's Day. It makes you "the old genreration". Sobering thought. Glad that your life is going well, job and life. And yeah, where in Dixie are you moving? Gotta warn ya', southern living is habit forming.

Thanks everyone for the condolences.

The move is going to be a two-phase plan. Initially, staying in northwest Mississippi while she finishes up her new degree. Then, final destination is somewhere between Chattanooga and Knoxville in a mountain cabin. My career gives me a lot of job options.
