HI all.
I just read a post on a website dedicated to the legal defense of farming practices (found here http://www.ftcldf.org/index.html ).

Apparently there is a bill in the House of Representatives that would regulate food production so strictly as to make small farmers, sustainable farming, back yard farming, small farmers market, etc. almost illegal.

Please read the article regarding HR 875 and see what our government is up to now!

The BIll is in committee which means they are researching it. This is when ytou read it and instead of knee jerk slamming it - you suggest that you representatives examine the impact on self sustaining farming and see if language can't be added or removed to handle that issue.

As I read it right this second, it seems fairly narrow in its application to certain types of food processors, but those terms are vague and open to misinterpretation. So contact your representative.

Here is the list of sponsors of the bill - find out if one is yours and e-mail them your concerns.

Don't just complain.

Don't just "fight back".

Try fixing it.
