I picked up some millet from the bulk bin in the grocery and want to make sure I can give it to my chickes :D

If yes, does it need to be soaked?

No most chicken scratch contains some millet. You are good to go nd they love it! We used to get it out of the field for ours sometimes. (Local farmer grew it.) It was still on the stalk and we would tie it up for them as a toy.

I bought some at the feed store in a wild bird mix. The chickens loved it so much that I planted some of the seed. Got three crops in one summer, plus I still put some leftover in their scratch. Definitely will repeat that next spring.

Fat and spoiled! LOL

As soon as Christmas is done, I will start collecting eggs for hatching. For now, we need the quail eggs for eating since the ducks are on strike.
