We’re getting there- but haven’t reached the finish line yet. I’m watching a couple of does pretty closely. One is a FF Kinder/Kiko cross. I was concerned that they might have ugly udders but so far they are looking decent. This is Ginger:

In the "old days" around here, the photos of goats near their kidding dates were more *cough* "detailed ". The udder pictures are tame.

Lol

Still waiting. Tomorrow is 150 days from putting the buck in the pasture. That's the "average" gestation for larger goats. My pygmy goats were closer to the 145 day average but the big gals tend to bake their buns a few more days.

Today
Is day 145 for the Pygmy doe. She wasn’t running with the main herd or the big bucks. She and Chester have had private quarters.

Her ligaments are gone and her udder is growing right in front of my eyes, lol. We might have April Fools day babies. Of course her favorite place is under the tractor... ugh. I’m going to have to find a way to move her into the freshly bedded pen.

He really is a doll! I sat outside with him in my lap this morning for about a half-hour. Nothing better for the blood pressure than loving on a baby...even a fur baby! :)
