i'm curious, is your water that bad that you need to get bottled water at all? our well water is not perfect but it is good enough for drinking. we'd never see bottled water here for us to use but we do have a few on-hand from time to time for guests who don't want to drink our well water.

when i go out and expect to be out long enough to need a drink i fill up a bottle of the well water to take with me.

Ours has way too much iron. I filter and it's ok for cooking and sweet tea covers the taste. Just drinking it sucks.

The big packs of Costco water is the cheapest

there's some iron in ours too but i'm used to it enough that it doesn't bother me.

price per gallon drinking water is available for less from many places. we get refills for $0.49/gallon at the grocery store (if we supply our own containers). the drinking water they sell by the gallon is $1.50 or so last i looked.

Well water around Hermiston Oregon shouldn't be ingested now. Nitrates have contaminated the water table. The cities have to process their water now because of that. Umatilla used to just pump the well water to town from their 3 wells. The Mcnary well tasted great and a bit sweet. They had to put out high fluoride warnings about it all the time when I was a kid. At least it wasn't as high as Condon's water. High fluoride leaves marks in the teeth of kids. I have very white lines on my top incisor near the gumline.

I prefer spring water and so does my body. I sweat a lot, which means I drink a lot of water. I just drank a bottle typing this reply 🙃.
