Food processor question

Hi all-- So I got a Cuisinart 11-cup food processor for Christmas. The handbook says the blade should fit "snugly" on the hub, but it seems to me that the blade is rather loose (the dough blade is the same). It turns back and forth a bit, and it seems louder than the machine shown on the DVD. I wouldn't call it "snug" at all. Also, when I made the pizza dough recipe the first time, the dough did not form a ball, the machine bounced all over the place, and when I took the bowl off, there was dough all gunked up around the hub under the bowl. When I grated cheese for my pizza, some of it also was under the bowl when I took it off. Needless to say, this doesn't give me much confidence that any liquids will not run out everywhere.

Any ideas?

BTW-- the dough was fine.
