Freemotion's mushroom growing experiment....success! Pics p 1 & 3 & 4

Supper tonight: Pastured beef slices, onions, garlic, shiitakes, onion wine, and broth over ......um, will it be ww pasta or some potatoes from the garden? I'll let dh choose. Veggies will probably be swiss chard and carrots from the garden.
 
We got another small flush of mushrooms...maybe a dozen or so over 3 days. We had roasted root veggies and mushrooms tossed with herbed chicken fat (bacon grease would have been better....in December we will have some again!) We topped our plates with lots of shredded cheese. It was wonderful! I can't believe how good the mushrooms were. Amazing. I hope there will be a few more this year so I can try them on pizza. Total yum!
