Frustratedearthmother's Journaling Journey

Good plan! I'm headed home for lunch. Hopefully, I can get the pig feeder filled and get back to work without getting dirty, lol. I really don't want to do that chore in the pouring rain this evening. :(

Stay safe and dry!

Slap a stamp on his forehead and mail him on over....I'm DONE cleaning :P I'll feed him well, I promise!! :D

But, I can't afford to send him 1st class - postage is tooooo expensive! :lau (I amuse myself!)

Well let's send him second class and I'll pitch in half :lau

Might be able to afford that - but he'd be soooo offended! Second class.... Poor fella...

But, first he's gotta get home from this business trip and clean MY kitchen!

Not a bad day for a thursday..it is thursday, right?

I can't keep track of the days when I don't go to work, lol. I had some comp time I needed to use up so I took today and tomorrow off. Usually I would have waited for better weather so I could work outside. It was overcast and cruddy all day. But, the weatherman said it was going to be LOTS worse than it turned out to be.

I actually did a little real old fashioned house cleaning.... ugh. Cleaned my bathroom which is always fun. Cloroxed the heck out of it, lol.... cuz I'm such a slob. Actually, I'm not that much of a slob, but my bathroom, which is tiny, seems to get messy fast. Most of the mess in my bathroom seems to be composed of my hair stuck to the walls and floor with the superglue, (aka hairspray) that I use every day that I have to leave the house. Thankfully, since it's just me and DH, I make (suggested) DH use the extra upstairs bathroom, lol. At least I don't have to contend with "man hair" in my bathroom! DH is a bit bear-like... ewwwwww!

The last of the chicklets have hatched....last couple with a little help because I had to open the incubator and retrieve the previous hatchlings so there was a little shrink wrap going on wth the last two or three. Most of them are doing well, even though I have a couple in 'intensive care.' The last few were kinda weak, but I think they'll rally and be just fine. Should have some more hatching in a week or so. AND, I've got goose eggs in the other incubator and I think they're all cookin along just fine.

I have a batch of cajeta on the stove - yummy. I was running real low after givng so much away for Christmas gifts. Just for fun, I did a few loads of laundry. Just basically kind of caught up with some things that needed to be done around here. But, I paced myself and there's still plenty to be done tomorrow.

I've got a couple big heads of Napa cabbage that need to be picked out of what's left of the fall garden. I want to make Kimchee - or is it Kimchi? Anyway, I love the stuff and I've even made it once before - but do you think I can remember what recipe I used? There's tons of them online and I forgot the one I used. But, it was good! My daughter dated a guy once who had some Korean ancestors a couple generations back. His mother made some Kimchee for us one time and I thought DH was gonna leave me for her, lol. Kimchee is spicy and he loooooooooooooves the spicy stuff! I'll do an online search and see if anything looks famliar.

That was my day - exciting huh? Guess I should go find sustenance for the hubster, who'll be home soon...
