Thanks, Deb. I struggled with this so much yesterday. But, my perspective now is that I've been charitable, I've given them eggs on three occasions already. They know how hard I work - they see me. I even know that they've stolen from me and I've still given them things...not just eggs, but vegetables too. They've borrowed things and never paid back...
We do share the trash bill with them, so I'm going to tell them that I can supply them with a dozen eggs a week - at $2.50 a dozen - and I'll deduct that from the money I pay them for trash pick-up. Easy-peasy. I should have thought of it earlier.
On another note - DH and I have been lamenting the fact that we didn't make a big farm purchase this past year and we'll suffer on our taxes because of it. Soooooooo, I told him this morning that I've been thinking about what our next big purchase should be. A milking machine! I love milking my goats and I have a market for the extra milk - but my hands are beginning to complain. Computing and milking are just too much I guess.
I think I've got 5 does bred so there's NO way I can milk all of them, lol. Not sure I'll even try. I'll probably sell at least one of the Nubians after she kids. I want to concentrate more on the Kinders, so I'll need to delete some of the extra mouths and Nubians eat a lot!
Except for heavy morning fog our weather has been awesome. Hope everyone stays warm and dry!
