I think after yesterday he wants to stay far, far away from seafood, lol!
Rhoda - My DH has a cardiac stent, so of course that's where our heads went to at first. But, other than a tightness in his chest and being short of breath (both of which could be cardiac symptoms) he had no other symptoms that made us believe it was cardiac based... no nausea, no actual pain in chest, neck or arm like his previous cardiac issue.
The biggest clue in my mind was his bright red face and he said he felt 'tingly'. When he had a previous cardiac episode he had NO color in his face - except gray. When he had a previous allergic reaction his face was bright red...an I mean BRIGHT RED, lol! So, I was kind of going by his previous history too.
You were smart to call the cardiologist. And, you've answered another question for me - I wasn't sure if crawfish qualified as an actual shellfish and would cause a reaction. Based on your DH's reaction I guess it is. "crossing crawfish off the list of acceptable foods"

He also loves escargo... they do have a shell but they're a snail - so we're not sure about those. Just to be safe I guess we'll take them off the list too.
Well, it's lunch time - think I'll go eat some shrimp, lol!
