We did in a couple roos this morning. But, I 'forgot' the UT game was coming on so I got started on the deed. Unfortunately, DH remembered the game so we stopped early.

I did the math and figured out that it's cheaper to feed my dogs chickens than to feed them their premium dog food. So, since I need to cut cull some older birds before feeding them for winter - the dogs are going to enjoy some fresh meat.
Foot was soooo much better yesterday! At that point I had done the rest, ice, compression, and elevation thingy for two days. Felt great! R.I.C.E. really works. I even accomplished a few things while resting... I made Kimchee, and goat yogurt and some laundry, even worked outside in short spurts. Soooooo today I went whole hog at some chores that badly needed to be done. Got a lot accomplished and it felt great! But, what does NOT feel great now is this stooopid foot. Set myself back some because I'm too stoopid to set on my butt (it's impossible - just can't do it - at least not for very long)!
Ok, self flagellation over...
I worked on some small sections of fence in the pig pen and the buck pen. Fairly easy because I was working with t-posts and stock panels so not too difficult to do alone. I added some extra posts to a section of panel that the pigs were popping up and slipping under, moved their gate to higher ground, and added another gate to a different spot in the buck pen. I find that the older I get the more I like gates, lol. Who wants to walk around when you can walk through?
This cooler weather (YIPPEE!) is great for getting things done outside - but it is NOT so great for 6 month old LGD's in training. Cowboy has been feeling his oats and acting like a dumb puppy. He is now wearing a shock collar and he IS a fast learner. I need to pop over to BYH and pose a question to SBC.
Tomorrow - assuming I can walk I want to finish the farrowing area for the sow. No rush really, but Id like it done. She shouldn't be due until Nov. 3rd - ish. So, I may put it off if the foot is still bad tomorrow. Podiatrist apt on Monday... yippee... not.
Need to find food now. Happy Saturday ya'll!
