I started getting ready to start tomato seeds today. I opened the bag of organic seed starter and got it into the little seed trays, sprinkled it with water, and then went to visit mom and dad. Status report is: no seeds in the dirt yet. But, the dirt should be ready to accept seeds. I guess that's progress...
My niece and nephew came to visit. Their mom was my sister that passed. They're good kids (not kids - @ 25 nd 30yo) but they hadn't seen their gramma and grampa for close to a year (or more). So, it was really good to see them get all caught up. We got there first and I told mom and dad they were coming. Dad was excited - mom said no. WHAT? She said she didn't want them to come and was going to "veto" it. Silly woman - she said she didn't remember them and wasn't up to entertaining, lol. All of that changed the instant she saw them. It was a really nice visit.
Conan is a bonafide nutcase, lol. He is the funniest little fella...and I probably think that because he's the only goat who has stayed in the house with us. I know, I know... not the best way to do this - but - it's cold and rainy and muddy out there and I don't want to go outside a zillion times a day to give him a bottle. Okay, it's only a few times a day, but it's so much more convenient to do it in the house! Not sure why I don't have allll the goats in the house! The ultimate dry lot situation, huh?
It's supposed to rain forever and I'm just over it. Where's the nearest desert cuz I'm being drawn in that direction. I really think I need to asphalt my whole pasture. I'd rather buy hay all year than walk in the mud for months at a time.
Have a pot roast in the instant pot, I need comfort food. And brownies. And ice cream. And wine. (haven't had any alcohol for a few days now) On one of my non-alcohol streaks when it all seems repulsive to me. What is wrong with me??? However, in an attempt to remind myself how wonderful wine is - I'm cooking the pot roast in it! Grrrr, totally forgot to put some rosemary in it. That is the ONLY thing I don't like about using the pressure feature on the instant pot - can't just pop the top and throw more stuff in it. Smells good though.
that we are having salmon and broccoli for dinner! So there! 
I bought the brownie for Mr Fussy (DS), who didn't like it, so I'm eating it. It'd be a crying shame to waste such a good thing
