Thinking about you. Know you're prepping for SIL and overnight trip. :hugshoping things are good 😊

Ahhhh, thanks! Crazy busy. Mostly worried about leaving DH...but he's adamant that he doesn't want to even try to go. I think the trip would be torture for him. He's sad about missing DGS's graduation, but he's being realistic. Can't fight with that.

We've got summer going on here. The heat came on hard and fast. Tomorrow we're supposed to hit 98...too dang early for that kind of heat.

My little garden is hanging in there. I should be picking Purple Dove beans soon! They're covered in blooms! Little zucchinis are starting out and I saw the cutest little green tomato today.

Meeting myself coming and going lately. DH's sister comes in today. She'll get a marathon course in keeping a severe diabetic alive. I'm making notes to leave everywhere! We will add her to the "follow" app so she can get alerts on her phone if his blood glucose is out of the safe range....if it works. Pretty disappointed in Dexcom these days - their apps are iffy on a good day. Not sure what's up because previously they worked wonderfully. Kind of disconcerting to have problems with an app that's supposed to help keep you from getting dead! And that's why I worry...

Not going to let the worry overshadow the graduation though. DGS deserves to have a great day. He's graduating #15 (or 16 - can't remember) in a class of nearly 500. I'm so proud of him! I know his mom would be too if she were here.

My son and daughter in law are going too. We're riding up in my truck. My son - he's a diehard GM man and my truck is a Ram. It's gonna kill his soul, lol! I've got the truck cleaned out (I mean, it is a farm truck) gassed up and ready to go. Packing is in progress. Still have a little cleaning for DH's clean freak sister. She's gonna have to get over it around here, lol.

Animals will be set up with extra water. They'll miss some grain, but I'll leave the gate open so they can get out in the pasture to self-feed. They'll have all the grass and hay that they can stuff in their faces. Still have one girl who is holding on to her hostages. I don't have a breeding date for her but she's on the downhill slope. Gotta remind her to keep her legs crossed until I get back. I think it'll be fine.

Garden is coming along. I'll check today for beans that might need to be picked and I'll give everything a good drink of water before I go. That's the best I can do.

Whew - it was a fast trip - but good! Up and back home in 27 hours. Almost ten of those hours were spent driving. Ugh! All of that to watch the graduation ceremony and have a 2-hour lunch. Not nearly enough time with them but I wouldn't have missed it for anything! Quality time with son and DDIL while driving. We had a blast and were silly and laughed the whole way!

DH and his sister did ok. Thankfully, they had a good night without a single blood sugar alert. DH stayed in range all night! How do I know? Because I woke up every hour on the hour and checked my app, lol. Thankfully, the app worked well all weekend.

Got to get back to business today. I have lotsa mowing, weeding, mulching and picking to do. I'll get my first picking from the Purple Dove beans today. I think I might have a couple zucchini to pick also. Tomatoes! My screen house seems to be working and I've got baby tomatoes on several bushes. I need to get them staked up. Should've already been done, but better late than never I guess.

One more cuppa and gotta get to it.
