I hear ya!! Some days were just mentally tired of it!
Agree!

I have a couple of big jobs that are waiting for me but I can usually find something smaller and less challenging to do instead, lol. I need to rehang some gates - including planting new gate posts. I'm having a real hard time convincing myself to do those!

Sometimes I have to sit myself down and give myself a good talking to. Maybe I need a coach who'll inspire me!

Marathon day in town yesterday. Shouldn't have been but it was. We needed to get new phones. Want - no. Need - yes. We were recently warned that our old phones (iPhone 8's) wouldn't support DH's diabetes app after the first of the year. ARGH! We spent several hours at the phone place getting new phones and new watches. Also changed our plan while we were there so that even with the new upgrades, we're paying less than previously. Wish we'd done that years ago.

Got a record breaking 7 eggs yesterday! Looks like all the silkie pullets have finally started laying now. Geeze, these gals are slow!

Second cup of coffee down so no excuse for sitting on my butt. Gotta get busy.

Haven't accomplished a lot today but about to start a project. I need to put a north wall on a goat shelter. Thankfully it's a small shelter, lol. I'll need to cut down a piece of sheet metal. Thank goodness for electric tin snips. At least I hope it'll be easier using them. I've used them plenty of times to cut hardware cloth - zips right through it. The sheet metal is a pretty heavy gauge so... :fl

@Hinotori

You are the silkie guru so this is a question for you!

What color would you call this pullet? She hatched out of some ebay eggs that were mostly partridge and white. In case the color doesn't come through very well, she kinda looks like a faded-out buff - but only kinda. Is it possible she's a red pyle or just a mishmash of some other colors? The pic makes her look like she's really faded out (like almost white), but she's got a little more color than actually shows up.

I'd say Partridge with 2 copies of lavender, but those usually have some faded grey in the crest. Blue cream is usually more pigmented but it could be that.

Kind of reminds me of the satin hen I have which I don't know what's going on with. She's white with just a bit of peach. From partridge background with just recessive white. Im assuming something slipped through from her easter egger many times great gandmother
