We're having a great visit! fished a little yesterday and today we're going to eat chili and watch football. After the Texans play we'll do our gift exchange.

Grandson is a Dallas Cowboy fan...as far as I can tell it's his only flaw, lol! Houston Texans play after that game. Go Texans!

Sixteen new silkie chicks! No new baby goats yet but maybe within the next couple days.

Grands are leaving today. I'm heartbroken. :( DGS leaves for basic training 1-12-26. The next time I see him will be at graduation from basic training the end of March.

DS, DDIL, DH and I are planning to drive out. Nobody wants to fly, lol. It's a 15+ hour drive. With DH going we'll need to make it a two-day trip each way with another day at the service. We've contemplated renting a bigger vehicle for the trip - like a minivan. OR - another option is to rent a motorcoach. How much fun would that be? It would save the cost of 6 motel rooms. Of course, we'd probably lose that advantage by the increased fuel costs. Decisions, decisions!

The most economical route would be to take the vehicle we already own. My truck is the biggest vehicle and darn comfortable. However - my son complains that it is a Dodge and he doesn't trust it, lol. He's a GM man through and through. I've gotta say though that this truck 'only' has 84K miles and has NEVER let me down. Other than replacing a battery and having brake work done it's been a jewel. I'll be getting new shoes all around for it next week.

Might be having some babies today. Looking promising for the myotonic doe to dump her load. Exciting! This little doe, and her offspring are likely on the "to go" list through no fault of her own. Herd reduction and all that...

The myotonic doe had a pretty little doeling - cuteness overload for sure! However, today mama has a bad case of diarrhea...sigh. That's what she gets for being such a hog at the feed trough I guess. Or, maybe because I wormed her or maybe just because she wants to be a PIA, lol. She's gotten a big ol' dose of probiotics and I'll probably follow up with some pink stuff in a couple hours. I'll keep her off grain and alternate probiotics and pink stuff for as long as needed and by golly she better get over it. I don't need any orphaned bottle babies.

Been waiting for two days for the next delivery. This doe is sneaky, lol. She found a perfect hiding place yesterday but she didn't deliver. She just hid there because that's how she is. I penned her overnight so I could check on her easier. Turned her loose this morning and she want right back to her hidey-hole.

Hopefully she does this thing quickly. Texans play at 3:30 and I will not appreciate it if she messes up my game time!
