Well, I did it again! Sold 5 more goats today. That leaves me with only 13 adult goats right now.

wow! congrats! :)

i just sent my niece the link to backyard herds because they are planning on getting some goats for their place... i don't know if she will sign up or not but hope she will find whatever help she needs. :)

I did a whole lot of NO outdoor chores yesterday. Wormed goats and that was about it. However, my refrigerator has been relieved of anything that might threaten to turn green and fuzzy while I'm gone next week. Also have a whole bunch of now empty and clean canning jars.

Started packing too. Packing clothes for DH is the easy part. Packing everything else he needs is more challenging. Got a jump start on my clothing choices also. Not going to pack mine yet - wrinkles are the enemy ya know, lol. At least I know what I'm taking. Hoping the weather app knows what its talking about and doesn't change its mind at the last minute. Of course, we'll take appropriate outer wear justincase.

Went to town fairly early this morning. Grabbed a bunch of grain and may go back again at the end of the week to top off everything. Next stop wallyworld to get a whole bunch of mostly healthy-ish road trip snacks. Gonna make up some homemade "lunchables." Meats, cheese, and a few crackers - should be tasty and at least semi-healthy.

Decided to put up another pig pen before we go on the trip. Girly pig is suspiciously fat, but it's more the filled-out mammaries that make me think she's gonna be a mama in the not-too-distant future. It's a good bit earlier than I had wanted, but pigs didn't ask my opinion. Most of the infrastructure is there - just have to sink a couple t-posts and tack up two stock panels. There was a fence there previously so everything will fit just like it used to and be an easy build. There's already a little shelter in there so mama pig should be appreciative. (ha!)

Can't remember if I mentioned that I got some seed 'taters in the dirt a few days back. Not going to do anymore planting until I return. Kinda glad I haven't planted yet because we had a light freeze last night. DOn't have any idea what's up with THAT!

Back to the grindstone. There's a prospective fence waiting on me out there...
