Geodesic is that the word?

I am looking for people who live in such homes or know someone who lives in a home like this, in Canada or one of U.S. "cold" states. As some of you know, I live in Poland, it does not get very low, but it does get to about -15 C at times in the middle of winter. I am truly fascinated by this type of housing. Yet I am not sure, how well does it REALLY work heat wise. I would appreciate it a lot If you could PM me a mail or other way of communication with a person living in such a house that you know of, who would withstand a nag like myself.

I know it saves a lot of money on materials. I have never lived in one, but did tour some as part of a architecture class.

Heating should be ok. It is A-frame homes that are energy inefficient, but it is the best design for a heavy snow load.

My coop isn't a dome, but it is made from a pentagon greenhouse kit.
DH did a lot of research on geodesic domes in the 70s. He may have some info.
We were just talking about them with Freemotion on Sunday!

I live in one!
Energy-wise, it's pretty good. The doors on this one don't seal all that well, so there is some loss there, but overall our power bills are much lower than they were when I lived in a regular house.
There are pics of the house on my blog profile.
