I would say thast if you left milk in pans in the fridge, that wouldn't work at all, cuz, like what SD says, it would be very hard to collect. if you go to skim it, it will move out of the way,and mix in with the milk again. I keep my milk in pickle jars, and I just use a tablespoon to collect the cream. I get about 2 or 3 tbsps after a few days in the fridge.

Im not gonna bother with one either, if I can make a nice batch of butter once a month Ill be content.

Actually it is from the 1920's or later. Check out the patent plate. It details their patents and patents pending up to 1923, so it had to have been made after 1923. It's also reconditioned. Looks like most if not all of the parts are there though. Too bad they don't have the manual like the other sellers there do.
