Got a new used singer sewing machine for free!

Pretty easy really.

First unplug the machine. Just take the outer coverings off and wipe everything down well with a clean dry cloth. Take time to get out all of the lint that accumulates. Then move the hand wheel and take a look. Put a drop of oil on everything that moves inside of the machine. Dab away any excess. Covers back on and wipe down the case well to remove any oil traces .. TA DA.

THATS IT?? Wow so easy! Mine is having issues with the stitches, they are irregular and a bunch of thread balls up under the cloth being stitched.

Sorry dntd, I don't mean to hijack your thread...

Clean it first. After that it is probably a tension problem or not threaded correctly.
