@milkmansdaughter Was passing through southern IL close by this morning, on her way up north, with her son. I'm not one to overlook an opportunity to meet a member. So we met at a gas station right off the interstate about 30 minutes drive from my house. What a nice lady and her son was very nice also.

She brought some sea shells for my granddaughters to play with in the sand box and she picked out some Indian flour corn to plant in her garden. It was very cool to be able to meet a member.

I know no pictures it didn't happen... So here's a picture her son took of us. What a great opportunity.

Awesome! I have had the opportunity over the years to meet more than a dozen former members. It's refreshing to know some people are in real life just as their forum persona portrays them.

Now if I could just swing by @BarredBuff during the next trip to Mississippi to see my wife's family. Lolol

You both are so lovely to look upon!!! What a beautiful smile you have, MMD!!! I think this is just the most wonderful thing, getting to meet someone you talk to all the time online. I've never gotten to do that before.

Felt like I already knew her already really. When meeting someone new, my parents taught me to firmly shake a man's hand but to gently hug a woman. I think that's a southern thing, IDK... but MMD is very huggable. Of course this sort of greeting doesn't fly in the corporate world... It's always firm handshake wither man or woman, or....., But it does work outside of the corporate world, with friends and family.

Hi all! It was a lot of fun meeting in person! @CrealCritter, same here, it was like we've known each other already for a long time. I'm glad the opportunity came up to make it official. @sumi, I don't need convincibg, I need money and someone willing to watch the animals while I'm gone. Maybe when my other son comes home. :)
Thanks @Beekissed! I'd be more than happy to drive to west virginia. It's one of the last 10 states I haven't been to yet. :)

Lovely to see you two! :) I wish I could meet some of you, though I had the opportunity to meet @milkmansdaughter's other son. I'm hoping his mom could be convinced to come over here for a visit sometime as well!
