greenbriers - have you eaten them?

I'm not sure if this is the right section.

I've been reading some about foraging and eating green brier stalks.

Has anyone here done this?

I would like advice.

After reading about how to harvest them, i went outside with my trusty basket, but everything i found was either too small (i'm guessing that's what the problem is) or too big - like it's been there so long it looks like a tree.

Any thoughts, advice, knowledge on this is welcome.
