Headache remedy?

I have butterbur as well, but I use it for allergies rather than migraines.
Good to know!

Believe it or not, I saw an episode of Dr Oz in which he recommended Butterbur for a headache. How is it taken? Capsule? Tea?

Edited to say I think it was recommended for allergies....I think.....

magnesium

hubby gets those tension/migraine type headaches. he started taking 500 mg magnesium and headaches have subsided ALOT.

My butterbur is in capsules.

Many many people have a magnesium deficiency, which causes all sorts of issues. Supplementing magnesium can help with a lot of issues - help improve sleep quality, laxative, increased energy, reduces headaches... there is a long list of things that magnesium can improve if you are low on it.
Just make sure that the magnesium that you take is chelated (pronounced Kee-lated) as it can not really be assimilated by the body otherwise.

Yes to magnesium. I have been using 500 mg twice a day since January and have seen a huge improvement. The cheap stuff works for me!

Yes! Magnesium! and drink plenty of fluids, too. I haven't had a headache in a really long time. A long time ago that I added magnesium to the vitamin line up, I don't think I've had a headache since.

Oh, so tempting! :hide
