Oh wow. I sure hope this doesnt get passed. I dont live in that state. But it would be terrible if it was passed. Because once passed in one state. The next state will try it..

What happened to our rights to live freely. Sure beginning to look like we are not the land of the free any more. Since when did the USA change to a different country.. The gov is medling in peoples business a little to much in the last decade.

Maybe some one from this SS forum should run for president.. Then all the self sufficient type laws that are passed making it so we cant sell milk or eggs, ect., ect. would not be passed making it harder to fend for your self..

rant over....

Duh, if these natural practices are taking so much of your income, maybe you should...um....learn them? Offer them to your patients? Actually, it sounds more like Big Pharma is testing this in NC. People using alternatives take fewer....or no....pharmaceuticals.

I'm not even quite 50 yet and I recently got the raised eyebrows (twice in one day) and the repeat of the intake question, "What medicines do you take? None? None AT ALL???? For anything??? No prescriptions, really?"

I think there are scammers in all fields-even conventional medicine. Some people are easily scammed.Shoot, there are few people who don't experience it,but a law is a bad path. Punish those who scam when it happens.

It is unfortunate that government will do this. I guess they just want a larger piece of the alternative health pie.

It would stink if I had to pay $115 to go to someone to get a script for vitamins like I have to with my conventional meds/doctor.

I like places where they do a holistic approach-conventional and alternative. There are so many ways to heal the body, but not every way will work for each person.

I get that too Free. I'm dreading a visit to my MD later this spring. I've gone off all the meds she put me on. I have to have a physical for Cub Scout camp (yeah, that's what I said). Sigh. So she'll order blood work and it will show better numbers than I had while on all the darn Rxs.
I'll be following the NC story. Our naturopath turned our lives around!

I got the same shocked response when I filled a prescription for my 6-year old once and told them that was the first time for antibiotics.

"You have NEVER given the child ANY antibiotics before?"

Well, NO. They haven't needed them before!

I'm obviously a negligent parent at that point. What with never having childhood ear infections or whatever it was we avoided. Sheesh.

Oh holy cow....

I just got a new doctor and guess what? She is okay with me trying 'home remedies'!! She said a lot of them work.

But on the way to her office, I passed a holistic healing place that I didn't know about. I'm going to stop in there the next time I get into that town.

I get very odd looks for not taking drugs, too. And my only vice is coffee, 24 ounces a day LOL.

They just know that people are fed up with modern medicine and don't want us to have an out. :hu

Big pharms runs more than people realize. I'm sure they're behind keeping the food pyramid the way it is, too. Long term illness suits them.

All this health care bill junk has people running from insurance, too. So can't forget that. If we all go natural, insurance dies. WOOT!

Yeh. I don't smoke or drink or do sugar or anything. I'm pretty boring. On paper, I appear very straight edge LOL.
