Hello from Newfoundland

Welcome. I'm in zone 4B. Surprised you still have frost. I think mine has left within the last week. I built an unheated greenhouse a few years ago. It's a tiny little thing, cattle panel and wood frame, 8' x 8' footprint, 6' ceiling at center. It is impervious to our snow load. Really needs a thermostatically controlled fan system to be fully functional.

If you haven't already, you might enjoy checking out this book:

Coleman lives not far from me. He gives lots of practical information for extending your growing season.

Welcome! I live in the Cascade Mts in Oregon, where snow is a possibility during any month of the year. I love Coleman's book, and I just got the companion book.

Welcome from north east Texas. I am in Zone 8. We get snow every few years, it only lasts about 3 days before it's gone. We have annual rainfall average of 47 inches. We have 8 acres, raise hair sheep, chickens, have 4 horses and 3 dogs.

I would love to see pictures of your place!

The goats new house just have to put the siding on. When you go in the door there is a half wall that acts as a wind break. Behind the wall is a shelf about a foot off the floor where they all sleep. On the left side of the door is their hay feeder. I will have to take some inside pics. I also put a piece of the greenhouse plastic in the roof so they have a skylight.
