We are 2 1/2 years into our new life. Moved from the big city, purchased land with a small cabin. Been busy clearing the forest and building all kinds of of things we immediately need. We raise chickens & rabbits with plans for hogs, sheep and an expanded garden in the spring. Turning a forest into usable land has been more work than I originally anticipated but extremely satisfying. I love every minute of it.

Sounds exciting and rewarding. I know about clearing woods, and it is not easy. This pic is of our back field after we cleared it. When we moved here it was woods right up to that line of Tiger Lilies. This is a few years after we cleared it.
