Hi, to all! I'm Starlett and please to meet you all.
1. What state/province/country are you in and what is your climate like?
I live in Georgia and NC.
2. Who or what inspired you to become more self sufficient?
I've always been somewhat self-sufficient, learned from my ancestors.
3. In what ways are you self sufficient now and in what ways would you like to learn more?
We grow some of our own foods, we practice alternative medicine when possible, we grow herbs and spices, we each have hobbies that aid us in self sufficiency...and I could go on. I'm always interested in learning more about anything.

I actively prep.

We live the country. Our GA home as about an acre. Our NC home has about 3 acres.

We have a wood burning stove we can use when needed for cooking. We do NOT have a wood stove proper.
15. Do you like to cook? Are you interested in whole foods and natural foods? Raw milk? Farm fresh eggs?
I love to cook, but health issues prevent it, for the most part.

We are looking to install solar at our GA home, but have to get hubby more on track with lowering his electric useage!
19. Have you ever lived completely off grid? Would you like to?
I have lived off grid for short periods of time. I would love to be off grid, if I could.
20. Do you make things yourself to save money?
21. Has trying to be more self-sufficient changed your attitude or habits about money/spending?

Definitely. I grew up in a very large family where frugally was how we lived. We grew it or didn't eat it. I slipped away from some of my good teachings while in the Navy, but following retirement, returned to some level of self-sufficiency and frugal living.
