For those of you who have super wet seasons, you might consider setting up a couple of hay bale beds. Instant garden without wet feet. (well... it takes 2 weeks to condition a bale for growing)

Welcome @Cntrygrl1964! I'm in NE Alabama, so our weather is likely to be similar. I've had trouble with the rain this last year too, and have been working toward more and more raised beds.
What kind and how many chickens do you have, and what general area of Tennessee? I drive through Tennessee multiple times a year.
Welcome to the group!

Im north oh Nashville. I have a variety of breeds. I have australorps, lakenvelders, colombian wyandottes, barred rocks, comets, and americaunas. I have a completely white americauna and was told they are pretty rare. I dunno.
I ordered some jersey giants, khaki campbells, and barred hollands from Ideal Hatchery and will get them end of February.
Id post pics but it doesnt have a way to let me insert them on the phone.

Of those breeds, I have Black Australorp, CW, BR, have had Ameraucana, but now have some EE. One of my CW and BA hatched chicks for me last spring. Both had excellent hatch rates and were wonderful mothers. I'd love to have a few Khaki Campbells. Maybe some day!

I have family in Nashville. My mom's youngest sister, her husband one of their sons. They emigrated to the States about 8 years ago and love it there.
