Hi, i joined a while back but we moved to Virginia this year and am getting our place in shape. I have 25 chickens, 14 guineas, and 2 cats, 2 dogs. I got a late start on the garden and had setbacks with animals eating everything but still enjoying it here. Building coops, and trying to get ready for winter. If you are on BYC, you may know me as Capricorn Farm. Hello!

Ha! It's an average, lol. Sometimes I count 'em and get 29 or 30....sometimes I count 'em and get 35. They don't want me to know so sometimes they hide and sometimes they move and get counted twice!

Hi! I love chicken math too! Last time I did chicken math it was like "how many chicks can i bring home from the farm store before DH revolts?" . I think we'll end up with about 20 keepers after we finish butchering/culling.

I want to try guinea hens. DH isn't on board with that.

Do I have animals? LOL - where do I start?
32 goats (I think)
3 mini horses
8 American Guinea Hogs of various ages (and who knows - at any given moment there might be more!)
a gazillion chickens....maybe not quite that many but probably 50ish
a few quail
a some dogs thrown into the mix...LGD's and an English Shepherd herding dog.

Hmmmmm.... mighta missed something...

I need more guineas!
