Hi I'm Kaite. i live in a suburb half an hour from KCMO abd have a small container garden (the only thriving veggie is a tomato) and just got the go ahead from the landlady to start a chicken flock (only 3 allowed in town though) on top of having a prepper husband who has pulled me to the dark side lol. We've been slowly working toward being prepared and self sufficient.

Welcome to our crazyness, Kaite! I live in Oregon, have 1/2 acre with 4 ducks and 10 ducklings still in the brooder, and a garden (which the squirrels are munching on as fast as it grows, grrrr)

Welcome. I only have a bit more than half an acre, but I have a friend w/a farm. So I have my horses and chickens out there. (Except for the 6 chicks I just hatched out!)

We're looking to get pullets. We don't have the space for a brooder in the house and that's where i'd want it so i could watch it. we have a decent size yard not too big but not postage stamp size either i was so glad the landlord said yes to chickens
