Help SS is spaming me

I had a large number of emails from SS that I had to delete. I went into my personal setting but I can't see an option to stop the spam - please help.

Are you getting notifications? There is a spot to turn off email notifications. But, if you turn them off you will still get notifications from threads you were watching before you changed your settings unless you go in and change it on each thread.

Try going to your profile...you can reach that by right clicking on your screen name at the top right of the page. Choose "preferences" out of that menu and start there on unchecking or checking the notifications/alert settings.

Then go to Alert preferences and see if you want to have any of those turned off. Then, if you look to your left of that page, you'll see a menu and you'll see a "Contact details" option that lets you turn off any and all email notifications from this site if you so wish.

That should do it and the next time you log on to the site it should be alright.

I unchecked the only email box I could find. I hope there is a do not ever send email or something like that... I don't mind getting mails from members or the admins if I'm on the naughty list or something like that. I do like the alert feature when I log in that is a really nice feature. But the email spam is not a very nice feature at all.
