Hoope everyone enjoys their fourth.
We attended our small town celebrations, and it was awsome. We honored our vets and active duty men and women. The parade leader was a woman who was a rosie the riviter during the war. hmm. we had a cookie walk. AThe rotary sold bbq sandwiches and the volunteer fire fellas and ladies had hot dogs. A friend sang several songs. And did a great job. We attended classes at a and m together and I learned that he was a singer back then. The kids ran around and I never once thought I needed to watch over them. They were safe. Everyone was looking out for them and everyone's kids.
Just a neat experiance. My kids hugged their teachers and we shared a picnic table with an older couple and talked about my son's age and the older fella asked him if he was a bad kid. My son said no. ANd the man said good, he didnt want to sit next to a mean kid. Made him laugh. My son shared the candy he gathered from the parade with him and he bought my son a snow cone.
My daughter and her friend ran around with other kids and flirted with the boys. The methodist preacher wore really short shorts for the race they had earlier. Kinda creepy. LOL.
this one lady who does not like our family, because her daughter is not allowed to play with out daughter because we are outsiders. Whaterver.

So anyway she was working the cotton candy machine and licked her fingers while making one for my son, ughh. She is like a fifth generation person in this town and we bought here about three years ago. so that makes us bad somehow. And she licks the food she feeds my kids?
Funny how there is always that one neighbor.
Im physically not able to go to the firworks tonite so we are watching the Washington and NYC ones on TV.
SO that is my weekend update. I have finals tomorrow. Yeah, ready to be done.
