Back from New York and Jersey. Had a blast.
Flew American airlines. Was not happy for the 25 dollar a bag fee to bring one bag to put under the plane. I didnt know this but everyone else did. SOOooo everyone was jamming huge carry ons into the plane.

So our plane flight cost me and DH an extra 100 dollars to bring our one freaking bag. Ughh.
Then Newark airport wouldnt let me take the snowglobes I bought for the kids, but they sold the freaking things in the airport. again,
New York was amazing. We were staying with DH's friends from high school who are actors. they work alot but havent had any major parts. They are background and one word or non speaking parts for many movies and tv shows. They live in an amazing building just a block from times square. we could walk out their front door and see everything. Saw a couple of hookers.

and one homeless guy was sleeping in the trash. Oh gosh and the trash is right on the sidewalk. Mounds and mounds of it. Its so stinky. no stray animals, except the pigions.
Took the subway, that was wild. Smelly and dirty and everyone was polite. Took a few cabs.

that was terrifying. They drive like they are in a video game, like nothing willl really hurt or hit them.
Had two beers at 12 dollars each. I also had a shot of Glenfiddich for 14 dollars.
Had a 45 dollar piece of fish. Oh and an amazing plate of sushi. It was heaven.
we had it delivered. It was so New York. Haha. I felt very trendy. ( the New Yorkers found me and my accent and country ways to be "so adorable

Lol. They couldnt believe I lived where I could not get any delivery.
Still no rain in Texas but it rained a couple of afternoons there.
Jersey was very nice. Gorgeous weather. We were in Rumson, Long branch areas. Watched the guys surf. Played in the sand and smelled the cool sea air.
Everyone was very nice. I did have to have DH translate the word towell for the Friends in Jersey. They couldnt understand me. Haha.
The trip was great. I came home with a weird rash on my legs. Oh and swollen ankles from all the walking. The rash is healing and I'm pretty certain we made it without bedbugs. I got splashed with rain water on the NY streets and thats where the rash was. So im thinking it was the nasty water. I did come home with a head cold. I woke up with a crusty nose.

And watery eyes. hopefully it will improve quickly.
