homemade dishwasher soap

I use what Cassandra does, only washing soda instead of baking soda. Also use vinegar for rinse aid. I was so glad to find this recipe on BYC because my "green" detergent is so expensive!

I hadn't thought about washing soda, the baking soda wasn't working in my new dishwasher(came with the house) so I bought a "green" detergent(paid a lot). I will try the washing soda & see if that helps. Thinking of switching my dishwasher for the one I bought for the old house before it leaves, no one will know the difference. And the one I bought is a better quality one too.
