Homemade Soda, recipe ideas?

Any one else making soda? With yeast, without?

I just got a Soda Stream to test for the inlaws but I think I'm going to keep it! I didn't realize how easy it was. We don't drink much soda because we don't like all that artificial stuff, but this thing is much easier than the yeast method and we can still make our own syrup concentrates or ingredients. I love the idea of never having to buy soda again, just exchange the canister for the price of the gas.

Does anyone have any homemade soda syrup recipes or ideas we can try for healthy sodas?

So from what I have seen, the soda stream lets you carbonate any liquid, correct?
