One of the things that really scares me is going without modern medicine. Herbs will only take you so far... and I can think of at least two times in my life when I would have died really quick if it hadn't been for hospitals (once when the placenta did not fully separate and I started hemorrhaging big time, and 4 years later when I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy)

Bacon. Because we have yet to raise our own pigs and I don't have a smoke house. And when we run out if bacon it really is the end of the world. And coffee.

After that, mail order chicks ...yea I would miss that.
