How long can egg whites be considered '"fresh" in the fridge.

When I make mayonnaise, I usually make a double batch, and I save the extra white instead of tossing it. my train of thought was t collect enough and then make meringues.

Well, I was just cleaing out the fridge, and it turns out I forgot about them. They have been in there for about 2 months. is this too long for them period, -too long for meringues, or cold I possibly use them for something else.

Oh, I really REALLY would not contemplate eating them at this point (nor even feeding them back to the chickens, frankly)

Once the relative sterility of the eggshell is broken, it is kind of "fish or cut bait". They really shouldn't be left for more than a couple days MAX in the fridge. 2 months in the FREEZER, if frozen immediately, is fine of course.

JMHO,
