I live in Southern Ontario and just calculated my real cost of electricity. Turns out it is about 17.3 cents per kWh.

What I did was divide the total cost (including tax, delivery, this charge, that charge) by the total of kWh on my last months bill.

How much do you pay per kWh using this calculation method for your 'real cost of electricity' and where abouts do you live?

:welcome I think we pay about 9 cents per kWh

$0.20 per kWh, highest in the state. Twelve miles to the west, they pay $0.12, twelve miles to the east, they pay $0.08. One of the many reasons we are moving.

09.1 cents per kwh for a 100% wind plan. But my real cost including delivery charge and taxes is 0.1038 per kwh. (I didn't include the late charge which is purely avoidable, and my fault. Income is bumpy in the winter.)

Texas ended the electrical monopolies, although we are all at the mercy of Oncor for delivery, and Ercot for saying who gets the rolling blackout when.

7 ish. You can always check the interwebs for the national average.

I don't know. I haven't paid a monthly bill since 1998. But we have upgraded our system several times, and we just spent a ton of money on batteries. So it's not like it's free. ;)

.068, I shop around, and don't just take the standard State of Maine offer.

I kind of wish we could shop around. We have only two options...power or no power :P I think a bit of friendly competition would be good, but ours isn't too bad anyway.

:welcome
