How to help keep milk cold while still in the bucket (during milking)?

All this discussion makes me really glad my stanchion is in the house! I am just a few steps from the fridge. I do have to mop that room daily, but I was having to mop it daily because of the dogs anyways, so there is no difference. I've never had any of the goats potty in that room either.

Now if only my husband wouldn't disown me!

Last year June only poo'd on the stand when I would leave and finish chores and she'd run out of food then poo. This year she started off poo'ing a few times the first or second milking, and I fussed at her to remind her we don't do that on the stand. She hasn't done it since, though.
