I have wavy/frizzy hair. It is hit and miss with gel products, sometimes they minimize the frizz and sometimes not.

I was in the bathroom with some cocout oil (thanks BBH :) ) and wondered about putting a little in my hair.

Des anyone have any tried and true ideas for controlling frizz?

My hair is straight as a board, but I do put it in my hair. Just a tiny bit, you know after you rub it into your hands after applying it to your face.

I have really oily hair too, and so far it hasn't made my hair look oily.

How does your face feel? (I love the smell of coconut!)

I wish I knew. I'll be watching this thread. Frizz has been one of my mortal enemies since I was a preteen. I have curly, frizzy hair and since I live in Colorado, it's dry too.

Feels good....I love the smell too, reminds me of the beach!

I am tempted to slather my whole body in the stuff....I have fairly dry skin and the chlorine 3 X a week is not helping any.

I have Spectrum too.....LOVE that stuff :)

I put some in,....I'll report back later when my hair has dried.

I have tried olive oil and an EO or two..... didn't like either.

On the back of my Spectrum bottle, it does say you can use in on your body. (I think BBrooks does that.)

My hair is wet too when I put a tiny bit in.

Dace, give your face about 3 days and OMG you will sure notice a big difference! The first time was wonderful, but give it a few days and it will be better.

OK BBH....I was thinking about biting the bullet and buying some pricey skin care....a friend gave me samples and I really liked it. But if coconut oil will make me happy :thumbsup

Hi there, new to the forum but I thought I'd jump in here! I also have frizzy hair and have tried ALOT of stuff! One thing that helps is doing an apple cider vinegar rinse in the shower ( your hair will be sooo shiny after!) and on particularly humid days, a bit of aloe works wonders! Good luck!

I have tried ACV rinse in the past...maybe I'll put some in the shower for tomorrow.....what is the ration water to ACV you use? or do you use it straight?

Never tried Aloe!

I use Tx Curls Up - says it reactivates curls, reparis frizziness and split ends...from walmart

I put it on when my hair is wet after the shower but the key is to use a blow dryer with a difuser attachment. The trick is to lay your hair on the difuser to take the weight off the strands, then with the above stuff it just goes into non frizzy waves as it drys.

It took me years to figure this out!
