I want one!

I was talking to my DH about those. Wondering about gas mileage etc..

Good for commuting as long as your not lugging a ladder and construction equipment along. :lau

DH wants one. He thinks they are cool. ANd he says that he most likely wont kill himself on that one. Like he most likely would do on a regular motercycle.

Me on the other hand would rather have a pair of horses hooked up to a wagon. Of course the seat would be padded better than the old ones. And it would have shocks for comfort. Now just if I could get away with that in town. Your allowed to have mini horses in town. But no where does it say you can walk them in pubic or use them as transportation. If I could find out if it would be legal. I would do it..

Back in the eighties, a friend of mine made this:

It featured a Ford 302 V8 and a customized automatic transmission. Talk about torque! It was a blast to ride.

He also built this:

It had twin 6.0 liter V8's, one driving the front wheels and the other driving the rear.

He built them from the ground up and did all of the work himself. I was there when the State Police came out to do the registration for the car (necessary for home built vehicles). You should have seen the looks on their faces. It met all of the requirements though, and was given a registration number.

It's not practical for homesteading or bad weather, but I've wanted a motorcycle for a long time. Must have the automatic transmission though. I like the old school type, teardrop tank, king/queen seat, chrome - not all covered in plastic panels.

I'd also love another Corvair. My 1st car was one and I still miss it.
Most of the other stuff I want is more practical.

wow SKR
never saw that before
